UHAT: TEAM HŌKŪLELE

Our Mission & Vision

UHAT: Team Hōkūlele’s mission is to design, build and test a high-powered rocket to reach a maximum altitude of 25,000 feet, deploy a camera payload with live video transmission, and be safely recovered. The purpose of this project is to provide students with the opportunity to collaborate and compete in an intercollegiate aerospace engineering competition, as well as to gain experience in high-powered rocketry and payload systems. This project aims to increase the interest of the future University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa students who want to pursue a career in the aerospace engineering industry. The team plans to compete in the Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) Competition in June 2024, which will take place in the Mojave Desert, California.
