2022 SPACEPORT AMERICA CUP

The Spaceport America Cup (SAC) will be held from June 21-25, 2022 at the Spaceport America launch facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and is the world’s largest international collegiate high-powered rocketry academic conference and competition.

2021 FAR 1030 COMPETITION

The 2021 Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) 1030 may take place during Summer 2021 at the FAR launch range near Edwards Air Force Base in Mojave, California. Further details regarding the competition have not yet been announced yet due to COVID-19.

2020 FAR 1030 COMPETITION

The 2020 Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) 1030 had been planned to occur on June 5-6, 2020 at the FAR launch range near Edwards Air Force Base in Mojave, California and was open to college, university, and amateur rocketry teams. The competition has been indefinitely postponed due to COVID-19.

2019-20 VIP SUBTEAM

The University of Hawaii is part of the Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Consortium, which consists of more than 30 institutions worldwide. VIP programs seek to foster long-term, in-depth, project-based learning and are vertically integrated, meaning that they consist of a faculty mentor, graduate student researchers, and undergraduates of all levels. 

OUTREACH

Team Hōkūlele will be participating in various community outreach events in order to further our goal of sparking interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields, especially aerospace, within our community.

2023 FAR 51025 COMPETITION

The 2023 Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) 51025 will be held from June 2-4 at the FAR launch range near Edwards Air Force Base in Mojave, California. The team plans to compete in the 25,000 competition.
